Merthyr Community Fund reopens for nominations
St Tydfil Shopping Centre is once again inviting schools, charities and local groups to apply for £500 worth of store vouchers as part of its Community Fund.
Having already given away vouchers to help a local group spruce up an area of the town and assist with hosting a summer event, on offer this time is £500 to spend at The Works to help update a library or arts and crafts facilities.
Julie Calderbank, Operations Manager at St Tydfil Shopping Centre, commented:
"Our St Tydfil Cares Community Fund has so far proven extremely popular. It’s highlighted the fantastic groups and charities there are in the area that do so much to support local people. Maybe a school or nursery would like to add new books to its library, or perhaps a group that provides craft activities for those with additional needs would like to update their supplies, whatever the reason, we would like to hear about it".
Nominations can be made by emailing StTydfil@pmwcom.co.uk or by sending a letter to St Tydfil Community Fund, c/o PMW Communications, PO Box 167, Bideford, Devon, EX39 9DU. Groups simply need to explain what they would like to use the vouchers for and how they would be of benefit. The closing date for nominations is Friday 8th September and one group will then be chosen to receive the £500 worth of vouchers.
St Tydfil Shopping Centre will be giving away one further Community Fund donation to a local group that would like to spread festive cheer and organise a community focused Christmas celebration.
