St Tydfil Shopping Centre launches ‘egg-cellent’ charity appeal

St Tydfil Shopping Centre is asking the local community to help it give the children and families receiving support from Tŷ Hafan a treat this Easter by donating to its Easter Egg Appeal.

Between Tuesday 1st March and Sunday 20th March, shoppers are being asked to purchase an extra Easter egg and then drop it off at one of the designated donation points within the centre at Wilkinson, Holland & Barrett, Travel House, Card Factory or Savers.

At the end of the appeal, Tŷ Hafan will distribute the eggs to the children and families they support in time to be enjoyed over the Easter weekend.

Tŷ Hafan is one of the UK’s leading paediatric palliative care charities. They offer comfort, care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families in the hospice, in the community and in their home so they can make the most of the time they have left together.

Diane Stringer, Fundraising Administrator & Care Liaison Officer at Tŷ Hafan, commented:

“We’re so grateful to St Tydfil Shopping Centre and their customers for supporting us through the Easter Egg Appeal. Easter is a special time of the year and these donations will be a lovely treat for children and families to enjoy together.”

Nick Magor, Centre Manager at St Tydfil Shopping Centre, added:

“Tŷ Hafan provides incredible care to children and their families across Wales and we’re delighted to be supporting them with our Easter Egg Appeal. I’m confident that visitors to the centre will get behind our appeal and, in advance, I would like to thank everyone for their donations.”

Eggs can be donated to the St Tydfil Shopping Centre Easter Egg Appeal up until Sunday 20th March.
